Let’s talk about a few of my favorite Christmas hair ideas for the holidays this year…
Odds are that you are going to be spending some time with your family and friends over the next few days for Christmas (or any other holidays you celebrate). Grandma’s coming to town and you want to look your best!
I’ve pulled together a few tutorials of perfect, flawless Christmas hair ideas and makeup tips so you can easily look your absolute best while focusing on the more important things.
1. Simple Class
The first tutorial I want to share with you is from JennyG‘s Youtube channel.
I love this because it is so simple, yet so stunning! She wears a shimmery smokey eye with winged eyeliner.
I think the shimmer is perfect for this time of year. Christmas is all about shiny, magical things… so why not show that through your makeup?
She also teaches you how to add a little shimmer to your lips. For her hair, she uses a sock bun to add a lot of volume and create a perfect bun.
This is a really simple tutorial to follow and would be perfect for anyone that is short on time.
2. Cute Christmas Tree Braid for Kids
When my girls get bigger and their hair gets longer, I’m totally gonna have them rock a cute Christmas tree braid! This is a perfect Christmas hair idea for kids!
This tutorial by BabesInHairland shows you how easy it is to create this fun, unique style.
3. Christmas Glam
I absolutely love Shaaanxo‘s flawless look! If you are going to be in a more formal setting this year, I would definitely recommend this tutorial for you.
She also does a shimmery smokey eye but using gold shimmers, which is perfect for Christmas. She is also one of those people that just does perfect makeup, and is literally mesmerizing to watch.
Shaaanxo also does some contouring on her face and ties her makeup together with a bold red lip. To finish the look, she wears her hair in big loose waves. It looks simply perfect!
4. Heatless Messy Updo / Fishtail Braid
If you are like me and want to keep it low-key this year (kinda), then Lillith Moon‘s awesome braided updo might be perfect for you. This is easily one of my favorite Christmas hair ideas on this list.
This is a good option since you can create this look without heat, saving on damage to your hair. Also, these types of styles are perfect when you are out of town and don’t want to lug your hair styling tools around.
This tutorial is really simple, and even if you accidentally make a few changes, it won’t matter. It’s meant to be messy, so don’t spend too much time trying to make it perfect.
5. Wild Child
I decided to post this crazy style from Sutherland Barnett. It seems pretty simple to recreate this look, and some people may be spending Christmas this year on the wild side.
This tutorial is basically a time-lapse of a hairstylist doing this look on her. The finished result is a soft mohawk hairstyle.
What a fun Christmas hair idea!
