Pretty Little Liars Intro Eyeshadow

So I spent most of my weekend binge-watching Pretty Little Liars (I’m only on season 4… no spoilers please.)  Every time the iconic intro showed, I couldn’t help but notice how much I loved Alison DiLaurentis’ shimmery bronze eyeshadow. Today I was inspired to try to get my makeup to look the same. Here is how I recreated the Pretty Little Liars Intro Eyeshadow…

Pretty Little Liars Intro:

I know it goes by pretty fast, so here is a picture:

And here is the look I recreated:

Note that I added a few contrast filters, smoothed the edges and added a vignette to make my picture match the picture shown in the intro. My eyelid is not as perfectly shaped as hers, and I wasn’t wearing fake eyelashes. With all of that in consideration, I think the eyeshadow matched pretty closely. What do you think?

So the question on everyone’s mind is what eyeshadow did I use to create the Pretty Little Liars intro makeup?

The Process:

  • The step is to apply an eyeshadow primer. I use Photo Finish from Smashbox.
  • Next, use a crayon eyeliner to tightline the lids and line the waterline.
  • Additionally, you can apply a thin layer of crayon eyeliner to the top lid. I use a smudging brush to blend out the hard line.
  • The next step is to apply some of the smudge pot by e.l.f. to make the eyeshadow pop.

The Actual Eyeshadow:

The original Naked Palette by Urban Decay is one of my all-time favorites. It has some pretty awesome colors, including the colors I use for this look.

TIP: Learn how to get free makeup from Sephora by using this one trick!

First, I apply some “Booty Call” to the whole lid and then I use “Smog” for the actual color. Start by applying “Smog” with a blending brush to the whole lid area and create the shape that the eyeshadow will fill in. Once the shape is set, I use a flat eyeshadow brush to pack the pigment on my actual eyelid.

It’s actually pretty simple and I think the color matches pretty closely.

Your Turn: What do you think? Does the color look good? Have you tried to recreate this look? I’d love to hear your feedback in the comments section below…
