1. Pastel Hair Color
Quick! When you think of spring, what comes to mind?
Probably Easter baskets, flowers, blue skies, and pastel colors, right? So it would make sense that pastel hues would be the perfect choice for spring hair color.
Tie that in with the ultra-popular trend of bright, unique hair colors, and you’ve got THE perfect look for spring fashion.

2. Tulip Pink Hair
Tulips are probably the most iconic flower to represent the spring season, and their beautiful pink hue lights up the day. Bright tulip pink makes a bold hair color statement… don’t you think?

3. Electric Purple
Speaking of bold… bright electric purple is another bold, beautiful way to bring in the new season.

4. Blush Hair
Blush hair is becoming a pretty popular look in the hair industry, and it’s not hard to see why.
Made popular by celebrity stylist, Guy Tang, this color is designed to have a light rosy mauve tone.

5. Bright Yellow
This is probably my favorite color on this list because it is so unique and bold. Yellow hair is usually thought of as an unwanted tone, but how beautiful does it look on these girls?

6. Cool Balayage
I got this idea from my friend at work who recently had her hair colored. Her shoulder-length hair was lightened up with super ashy balayage and it looks amazing.
She actually doesn’t like it, but it made me have a new appreciation for the cooler tones.

7. Rose Brown
I don’t know about you, but I’m obsessed with rose gold everything.
Rose gold hair has been sweeping the nation for the past few years, but now it’s evolving into a darker rose brown hue. This is a perfect choice for someone who doesn’t want bright, blonde hair, but also want to incorporate some rose gold into their life.

8. Prism Hair
One of my fondest memories is sitting on the back patio of my grandma’s house by the pool in the warm weather. She had a lot of crystal decorations that would shoot out beautiful rainbow prisms all over the patio when the sun hit them just right.
Whoever thought of incorporating that look into a hair color is a straight genius.

9. Blonde Babylights
Highlighted hair has moved towards super natural balayage-type colors, and less like Kelly Clarkson circa 2005 striped highlights.
Although balayage is still popular, it’s beginning to evolve into what we call, “babylights,” or very thin, natural highlights that blend in with the rest of the hair. This look is supposed to mimic natural, sun-kissed hair that has never been colored.

10. Unicorn Hair
Similar to the pastel hair color is what the internet dubbed “unicorn hair.” Although there is no clear definition of what unicorn hair is, it usually consists of bright, bold rainbow colors that make the hair pop.
The main difference between unicorn hair and pastel hair is that pastel hair color should be lighter and more subtle, while unicorn hair is very bright.
Just tell me you don’t love this look.

Final Thoughts

Spring is all about the bright colors and this year’s hair color trends are no exception. Soft, yet bright pastel colors are the perfect way to welcome in the new season.
The best way to make a statement is with bold hair color. Bright yellow, tulip pink, electric purple, and straight unicorn hair are fantastic choices for the spring season.
And if all the bright colors aren’t your thing, there are some really neat choices that are more natural looking. Subtle babylights, balayage with cool tones and warmer rose and blush tones are all trendy ways to show off your hair this spring.
