Let’s talk about a few next-day hairstyles that will save your life…
Because we’ve all been there… those days when you hit snooze one too many times, and now there’s no way you’ll be able to wash your hair before work.
But that’s okay… because washing your hair every single day isn’t good anyway. Shampoo strips your natural oils, fades your hair color, and dries out your hair over time.
It’s a good idea to keep a few next-day hairstyles in your back pocket so you can easily switch up your beauty routine from time to time.
So without further ado, here are some super cute, super simple next-day hairstyles that will save your life in a pinch.

Alex Gaboury has a 3-minute tutorial that shows how easy it is to pull off a French twist.
The half-up topknot is one of my favorite hairstyles, periodt.
It’s super cute, super trendy and super easy to do. Plus, it’s a great way to conceal second-day hair.
You can even curl the remaining hair if you want a more polished look.
Braided bangs or braid headbands are the perfect way to conceal greasy or unruly hair, while still looking cute and trendy.

This is probably one of the most intimidating hairstyles on this list, but it’s really not that hard to do. It’s super cute and polished but also works great with next-day hair.

Since a bubble ponytail is meant to have a texturized, tousled look, it actually works best with next-day hair.
If you’ve never worn your hair in a messy bun, are you even living?
I’ve pretty much lived in a messy bun since the lockdown earlier this year. It’s cute and trendy, but it also keeps your hair neatly tucked away.
💡TIP: Make your bun appear bigger than it is with a donut bun.
Mohawk braids are one of my favorite next-day hairstyles; they’re easy to do and work magic to cover greasy roots.
To pull off this look, section off the top half of your hair, and French braid it down the middle. Finish off the look with a topknot or ponytail… whatever you fancy.
The greatest thing is that this look is meant to look lived-in, so it’s perfect for unwashed hair.
If you want to create this look on yourself, Caley Caldwell MUA has a really easy-to-follow tutorial on her YouTube channel:
Several different hairstyles actually look better on day-old hair, but I’m a big fan of upstyles, braids, and buns. You may need to use dry shampoo and smoothing cream to soak up oil and tame fly-aways… but other than that, many hairstyles will be easy to accomplish with next-day hair.
You can do several different styles with day-old hair, but you’ll probably need to use some dry shampoo to soak up natural oils and smoothing cream to tame frizz. You can wear it up, curl it, braid it, or pop it up in a big donut bun.
Mohawk braids and braided bangs are a great way to cover oily roots. Likewise, wearing your hair up in a messy bun or tousled updo helps disguise unruly hair strands.
Washing your hair every day can dry it out and cause damage over time. Plus, who has time to wash it every single day anyway?
Next time you’re running late, try one of these next-day hairstyles, and you’ll look trendier than ever… all while saving your hair from unnecessary torture!
Until next time,
