Shortly after I wrote my last post about Ipsy, I received my December glam bag. It has some pretty cool stuff (from Tarte Cosmetics, CoSTUME NATIONAL, Marc Anthony Hair Care, Elizabeth Mott and Pacifica) in it and I am excited to share my experience with everyone.
My December Glam Bag
1. Marc Anthony Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Deep Conditioning Treatment
The first thing I’d like to write about from my December Glam Bag is this awesome deep conditioner. This deep conditioning treatment from Marc Anthony is pretty dang awesome. What a perfect time for me to receive this product, as my hair is pretty damaged at the moment from recently going blonde for my wedding. I’ve used it twice so far, and both times I have slept with it in my hair overnight. It really makes my hair feel good without weighing it down. I would definitely recommend it!
2. Elizabeth Mott Thank Me Later Eye Shadow Primer
I think this eyeshadow primer from Elizabeth Mott works pretty good. The first day I used it, I accidentally fell asleep without washing off my makeup and my eye makeup was perfect in the morning. That, to me, is the ultimate test to pass as an eyeshadow primer. However, I also used it today and it seems like my shadow is starting to crease slightly. I’m not sure if that’s because I got ready so fast this morning or if the primer is not good. I’m gonna say that overall, I like this product.
3. So Nude Eau de Parfum by CoSTUME NATIONAL
At first, I was not too excited about getting perfume in my glam bag but changed my mind shortly after. I really like this perfume. It smells really good I would definitely buy it in the future!
4. Tarte Cosmetics Smooth Operator Amazonian Clay Finishing Powder
This finishing powder from Tarte Cosmetics was pretty cool. I don’t usually use a finishing powder (even though I definitely should), so I do keep forgetting to use it. However, I did use it on a day that I had to drive 5 hours in the car, and it did keep my makeup in place. Most women that use this product have said that their makeup stays in place, their skin produces less oil and that it covers their imperfections. Like I said, I think it is pretty cool but I have to use it on a longer basis to give my full opinion.
5. Pacifica Power of Love Natural Lipstick
It is very rare for me to wear lipstick. Even at my wedding, I just wore chapstick. I don’t know why but I am just not a fan. I think it looks good on others but most colors do not look good with my skin tone. If I do wear lipstick, it usually is pretty natural or nude colored.
Either way, I did try this lipstick (with a Nars lip liner that I got as a freebie for my birthday last month). This shade was really nice and it did look really natural; it was not much different from my natural skin tone. Also, it seemed like it had some pretty decent coverage. But then again, since I don’t wear lipstick, I don’t have much to compare it to. One thing I liked (and this may be caused by operator error) is that it did not get on my teeth when I put it on. However, I did notice that it came off on my toothbrush and coffee cup when I was done. I would recommend this lipstick based on what I know about lipstick.
I also decided to post a picture since I can’t contribute much else. Note: don’t judge. I don’t know how to apply lipstick correctly :-/
It seems like Ipsy did me well this month. All of the products I received were pretty awesome and I would definitely be willing to try them on a longer timeframe. It is just so cool to me that I got all this for just 10$.
I’d have to say that the So Nude perfume was my favorite! I can’t wait to see what Ipsy has for me next month. If you haven’t tried Ipsy yet, you really should. Click here to learn more.
