Let’s talk about some fabulous shades of Christmas hair color!
Today was a picture perfect Christmas decorating day in my home. I’m currently on maternity leave from work and my husband also stayed home to help me with the babies.
It snowed all day long, and nobody in my family needed to leave the house. My husband and I set up Christmas decorations and put up the tree while I wore our newborn baby in a Boba wrap and our 1-year-old daughter helped decorate.
It was such a nice, relaxing day and really put me in the Christmas spirit. Since it’s just around the corner, I thought I would celebrate by showcasing a few of my favorite Christmas hair color ideas.
10. Silver Hair
I’m gonna kick off this list with good ‘ole silver hair, since silver is a typical color used in Christmas decor. Additionally, it is a cooler-toned color that resembles ice (for that reason, it’s also on my list of winter hair color).

9. Golden Red Balayage
I’m gonna be honest- most colors on this list are different variations of typical Christmas colors. On that note, it’s pretty common to see red and gold used together in Christmasy things.
What better way to highlight that idea with some gold and red balayage?
Okay, burgundy is not a color commonly used in Christmas decor. However, most people like to let the wine flow around the holidays, making it a staple of the holiday diet.

7. Steel Teal
I love the idea of mixing green and silver together to make a fancy Christmas hair color. I feel like you can use any shade of green (including teal) and it could be vibrant or faded to look the part.
6. Rose Gold
Back to the gold colors, but with a twist. I am all about rose gold everything.
I feel like rose gold is a perfect Christmas hair color for those who don’t want to go too overboard.
Similar to the green and grey, I think red and silver is a really cool idea to show off your Christmas spirit. It’s a pretty unique look and would set you apart from the crowd.
5. Fire And Ice
4. Dark Green Ombre
I love the idea of dark green ombre! Dark brown or black hair blended into a dark, vibrant green would make a bold statement this holiday season.
3. Icy Blonde
Like silver, icy platinum or ash blonde represents snow and cold weather, which goes hand-in-hand with Christmas. I’d say the cooler, the better when it comes to blonde this year.
If you are having a hard time getting your hair this color, check out how to use a hair toner for brassiness.
How about some typical Christmas colors? There are so many fun ways to incorporate bold red and green colors into your hair. Highlights, peek-a-boo streaks, all over color, balayage and half-and-half hair color are a few ideas.
2. Straight Red And Green
1. Candy Cane Hair
#CandyCaneHair is my absolute favorite idea for a Christmas hair color! It’s so unique and creative. I even wrote a post about candy cane hair a few years ago!
Bonus Round: Glitz and Glam
For a little extra added Christmas pizzazz, add some sparkles to any hair color! It will really make you go the extra mile!
