So last month, I decided that I wanted to sign up for Ipsy, a company that sends you five large beauty samples each month for only 10$. It seemed like a pretty cool deal, so I figured that I would give it a shot.
The Ipsy Glambag
It was pretty awesome. My Ipsy glam bag came in a shiny pink package, which made it so exciting to open it up. When I opened it, it contained a sample of “Warm Love Pumpkin Exfoliating Mask” by Albertini International, a bottle of SinfulColors nail polish, Smashbox Full Exposure mascara, Absolute New York nano eyeliner, and a tre’StiQue mini matte lip crayon. If you ask me, that’s a pretty awesome deal for just 10$.
The downside to Ipsy is that you don’t get to choose what goes in your bag. They have a selection of products that they use each month, and they pick 5 of those for each bag. They do, however, ask you some questions to tailor the selections they chose for your bag.
On the other hand, its pretty cool that these bags can push you to try new things. The selection of products is very diverse; you can end up with hair products, makeup brushes, nail products, etc.
Another cool feature of Ipsy is that they ask you to review the products, and then reward you with points. You can also earn points through referrals or sharing Ipsy on social media. When you’ve collected enough points, you can get more products for free.
I plan on doing product reviews for the products in my glam bag each month as a new segment to this blog. It seems like a cool way to try new things and share my findings with you.
In conclusion, I believe that this is completely worth a try for just 10$, so what are you waiting for?? Head on over to the Ipsy website to get more information.
Your Turn: Have you ever tried Ipsy? Whats the best thing you ever got in your glam bag? I’d love to hear your feedback in the comments below…
