I really wanted to post this article yesterday since it is now 2018 and I don’t like to dwell on the past… but hey, life happens. On that note, I’ve also slacked on posting my Celebrity Hairstyle of the Month posts in the past few months. Instead of ending the year with one celebrity hairstyle, I decided to post my top 10 favorite celebrity hairstyles of 2017.
This was definitely the year of emerging new beauty trends. In 2017, beauty influencers set the boundaries of what should be accepted as beautiful on the internet. As much as I hope that these trends will go away in 2018, I have a feeling that they are just getting started. Here are some of the worst beauty trends of 2017.
Back in 2012, ombré hair and dip-dye was all the new rage. Every celebrity had it, and countless Pinterest tutorials were teaching you how to do it yourself. I realize that I dropped the ball on a “back-to-school” post for 2017 (although some schools might not have started yet). On a side note, why do schools start so early these days? When I was in school, we usually started mid-September and got out mid-June. It seems like most schools start in August now. Anyways, I wanted to put together some awesome tutorials that showcase some cute hairstyles for school. Even if you (or your kids) already started school, you can still benefit from watching these.
I don’t know about you but I’ve been seeing “unicorn” everything, everywhere lately. Maybe this trend came about after Starbucks’ infamous launch of the unicorn frappuccino earlier this year. Maybe not. It’s possible that people just really like mystical horse creatures. Either way, unicorn hair is the newest trend sweeping the internet… and It’s awesome.
