French Braid Your Hair For Sleep

by

So, one of my coworkers at Sally Beauty Supply enlightened me to a cool new idea the other night.  She said that I should wear your hair in a French braid while sleeping.  It’s supposed to keep your hair really healthy and help it grow longer, which seemed a little weird at first until she explained it.  I decided to write a post about why French braiding your hair for sleep is a good idea.

Lauren Conrad Likes HolleewoodHair!

by

Every blogger out there wants to get as many views as possible.  However, with so much competition in the world, how do you make that happen?  The real answer is patience and hard work, but it helps to be in the right place at the right time.  Today, MTV’s Lauren Conrad (The Hills and Laguna Beach) pinned my blog article on her official Pinterest account.

Let me tell you about the day that Lauren Conrad from MTV's "The Hills" repinned my blog article on Pinterest...

Who is Lauren Conrad?

She is an American television personality, fashion designer, blogger and author.  She became instantly famous when she appeared on MTV’s Laguna Beach in 2004, a reality show about teenagers growing up in Laguna Beach.  The show gained so much popularity that a spinoff show, The Hills, debuted in 2006.  The Hills followed Lauren and her friends, Whitney Port, Heidi Montag and Audrina Patridge, as they pursued a career in the fashion industry.  Conrad left the show in 2009 but she is still credited with being one of the first reality show stars to rise to A-list fame.

The Day She Pinned My Article

That day, I checked my daily views, like usual, and noticed a huge increase.  I thought it was cool to see that increase but wondered where it came from.  Then, I started looking through the links that were referring traffic.  I noticed one Pinterest link was referring most of the traffic and I followed that link all the way to Lauren Conrad’s Pinterest page.

At first, I thought that this had to be an unofficial account or something.  However, when I went to her website, LaurenConrad.com, I followed her link to Pinterest.  It took me to the same board I was originally looking at, with my blog post (100 Random Facts about Hair) right at the top.

For me, that was a pretty cool feat and I just had to share the exciting news with you all! Have a wonderful day! 😀

X-Out Your Eyes for Halloween

by

Are you looking for a really cool, original way to wear your makeup for Halloween this year?  Then you should X-out your eyes!

If you are looking for a cool and original way to do your makeup for Halloween this year, just X-out your eyes! This fun look, inspired by Frank Iero, is totally fun!

Now X-Out Your Eyes:

This is one of my favorite Halloween looks.  It’s pretty basic and you can wear it with any outfit.  To create this look, first, just do your makeup however you normally wear it.  Then, all you have to do is simply paint X’s over your eyes with eyeliner or other black costume makeup.  Besides that, you can wear your makeup however you want, although I did add some black lipstick to complete the look.

Do keep in mind that I stole this look from My Chemical Romance’s Frank Iero.  He shades his eyes with red eyeshadow before painting the X’s on.
