So, this year was my first time hosting Thanksgiving at my new house and all of my family was there. Even though I had a million things on my mind, I remembered that at 5 o’clock, I needed to log on to Ulta.com and buy some cheap makeup. Luckily for me, I was able to get right to the website and managed to add what I wanted to my cart. Unluckily for me, I got sidetracked before fully checking out and by the time I came back, everything was sold out. Even though my turkey just finished at 6 o’clock, I decided to endure the 5-minute drive to pick up some $10 Mascaras from Ulta. Fortunately, it was really quick and easy and I was back home within a few minutes.
The next morning, as I was laying in bed, I realized that I only purchased three out of four of the $10 Black Friday mascaras that we’re on sale. I immediately grabbed my baby daughter, hopped in my car, and drove back to Ulta. To my surprise, they had one more unit of the Buxom mascara and I snatched it up. Now that I have them all, I figured it would be fun for me to compare and contrast them and let you all know which one is my favorite!

I’m also one of those people that likes to get in the mood for fall by changing all the scents in my house to pumpkin spice, and wearing more gold tones in my makeup. Since it is a pretty common practice for people to change their hair color in the fall, I decided to share with you a few of my favorite shades of fall hair color…
Japanese Perm, thermal reconditioning, straight perm, bio ionic hair retexturizing, high-tech perm. What do all of these names have in common, you ask? They are all different names for one service: the Japanese hair straightening service.
A Japanese hair straightening service is slightly similar to a Brazilian blowout, but also more like a reverse perm. Because of the negative connotation associated with Brazilian blowouts, I decided to write about this safer alternative. In addition, this service will leave you with permanent pin-straight hair until it grows out. (more…)
lloweHalloween is one of my absolute favorite times of the year. Since my birthday is on November 1st, I almost always had costume parties every year, growing up. There is nothing more fun than dressing up and I love to see how elaborate the costumes have become over the years. You don’t even need a full costume, if you have the skills to pull off some dope makeup. Here are 5 of the scariest Halloween makeup tutorials I could find:

Back in 2012, ombré hair and dip-dye was all the new rage. Every celebrity had it, and countless Pinterest tutorials were teaching you how to do it yourself. Next, came the balayage and sombré hair colors, which offered a more subtle variation of ombré hair. Fast forward to 2017, and it’s all about color melting… but what is color melting? And how is it different from the other types of hair color? Let me explain…
